Crafted in Bulgaria using wool sourced directly from shepherds in the Rhodope Mountains, this piece is a true expression of traceable, sustainable craftsmanship. The fleece is sorted by thickness and colour, then spun and woven on hand looms using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The yarns are Oeko-Tex certified, ensuring a process free from harmful chemicals and environmental impact. Undyed and woven from the natural fleece of rare Bulgarian sheep breeds, the result is a weighty, tactile blanket with exceptional warmth and durability. Washed in pure mountain spring water, the wool’s natural properties are enhanced, giving it strength and softness. A multi-directional stripe design showcases contrasting weave structures in the warp and weft, forming a striking large-scale check. Finished with a short fringe and a dark brown leather LIFE mark tag, it’s presented in a GOTS-certified cotton dust bag and gift box.
